Stephen Mead is an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA), financial adviser, and a Florida licensed life, health and annuity producer with Assurity Financial Group. Steve focuses on tax preparation during tax season; advising, negotiation and IRS problem resolution out of season. Additionally, Steve provides at-home customer service visits with current clients and in-home presentations with prospective clients, demonstrating and communicating the unique advantages of partnering with the Assurity Financial family of services.

In addition to his duties here, Stephen is an adjunct instructor at State College of Florida for IRS Enrolled Agent exam prep courses, an internet author of articles regarding federal taxation, current Chairman of Public Relations for the Florida Society of Enrolled Agents (FSEA), President of the local FSEA chapter, and a member in good standing with the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA).

Stephen received his Bachelors of Art from Michigan State University, married his best friend, the proud father of two teenagers and a +23 years as a Manatee County resident. Steve served as a Senior Tax Consultant for the nation’s largest tax resolution firm and Chief Operating Officer of his own specialized tax practice for fraud victims.
